THIS Barrow photograph was taken inside the Vickers-Armstrong yard in the 1950s and is believed to show the turbine engine shop.
It was found by Colin Pickthall, of Fountain Street, Ulverston, and features his grandfather Albert Bonser.
Mr Bonser is nearest the camera with his hand on his hip — wearing the National Health Service spectacles and cap.
He was on Dalton Urban District Council and lived in Napier Street.
None of the other workers has been identified.
Mr Bonser worked on Barrow submarines for the First World War.
