The C2 Lancaster company which owned the Duke of Edinburgh Hotel in Barrow bought the Palatine Cask Ale Bar in Morecambe.
A terraced house in Surrey Street, Millom, was offered for sale at £64,950. A semi-detached house at Moorgarth, Swarthmoor, could have been yours for £159,950.
Barrow-based radio station Abbey FM stopped broadcasting. Seven members of staff were made redundant.
Plans to build sections of two giant aircraft carriers in Barrow were scrapped, shipyard boss Murray Easton revealed.
