1 Hit tribute band A Celebration of Simon and Garfunkel is returning to the Lakes this weekend to perform some of the duo’s best loved classics. Tim Chu and Ian Bailey present their moving Christmas show at The Beggar’s Theatre in Millom Friday night from 8pm until 10.30pm.

The concert delivers the iconic music of Simon and Garfunkel in a unique and original way. Tickets are on sale for £14 for adults of £12 for concessions.

2 Dalton’s famous Christmas Tree Festival continues this weekend, returning with the theme ‘It’s a Wonderful World’.

There will be more than 50 decorated trees within St Mary’s church with each one representing a charity of choice.

The festival is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2pm until 5.30pm, children under 10 enter for free.

3 Jason Manford’s Comedy Club returns to Millom this Saturday for a night of live comedy. Four fantastic comedians have been handpicked by Manford to deliver a feast full of laughs for audience members. Tickets are available on the Beggar’s Theatre website and are £15 each.

4Barrow and District Disability Association welcome Santa’s Grotto in his toy workshop this weekend. The Grotto has been made suitable for visually impaired youngsters, offering a host of different textures perfumed with frankincense and myrrh

The Grotto opens its doors from 10am until 3pm and tickets are £3.50 per child.

5 Furness Creatives will be holding a wonderful exhibition at St Matthew’s Community Halls this weekend. Historical folk art from local industries will be presented this Saturday and Sunday from 10am until 4pm.
