AN APPEAL for witnesses has been launched by police investigating a serious assault in Bowness
The incident occurred at approximately 5.20pm yesterday, December 16, after two men were involved in an altercation on Glebe Road.
A 69-year-old male from Sunderland is currently in a critical but stable condition at the Royal Preston Hospital after being punched.
Police officers would like to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the assault to get in touch, and they are also appealing for the other male involved, who was walking a dog, to make contact with them.
