HUGO is an absolute doll of a dog.

He is a nice friendly and loveable boy who enjoys attention and will make a very loyal companion in a home where he is loved and wanted.

Sadly, this six-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier is in need of a new home due to his owner’s ill health.

Hugo enjoys his walks, but can be reactive to some dogs as he has been attacked in the past. This has happened on more than one occasion so Hugo can be a bit wary.

He needs an owner who is sensitive to this and will keep an eye out if Hugo is approached by another dog.

He also needs to be rehomed as an only dog.

He is in the care of the charity Animal Welfare which also needs him to go to a home where he has a safe garden to play in. This would be a great benefit to Hugo as it would allow him to run around and burn off energy and play with his toys.

He loves a game of fetch with his tennis ball and will drop it on command and wait patiently for you to throw it again.

Hugo has never been around children and therefore would not be rehomed with children under 16.

Also being looked after by the Barrow branch of Animal Welfare, but in its cat shelter in Rawlinson Street is Nina.

She is a four-year-old tortie and white cat who loves nothing more than a good fuss.

This neutered girl enjoys playing with her toys and will be best suited to being the only animal in the home. She is a house cat and in need of a home with children over the age of eight years.

Snoopy is a five-year-old grey tabby and a neutered male.

He is another absolutely adorable creature who loves being made a fuss of.

Snoopy would also be best suited to being the only animal in a home with children over the ago of 15.
