A PROMINENT member of Parliament visited a Furness branch of a political party to celebrate Christmas.
The Ulverston and Rural Furness Labour party branch hosted Andrew Gwynne, the shadow minister for communities and local government.
Mr Gywnne visited from his Greater Manchester constituency to speak to local Labour members.
"What a lovely and inspiring evening with Andrew Gwynne on Saturday night at the Ulverston Labour Party Christmas Party," a spokesman said on Facebook.
"It was so nice to have such an intelligent, warm, stirring and inspiring talk from a brilliant and caring MP."
Members are currently involved in deciding on who the next Labour parliamentary candidate for Furness will be.
