THERE will have been plenty of bottles of bubbly opened on Thursday for Valentine's Day but few to match this one from 1998.
Ken and Pauline Leece, of Milom, were the lucky winners of a Valentine's raffle to win a Methuselah of Champagne.
The massive bottle contains nine litres. This is the same as 12 regular bottles and would provide enough fizz to fill 72 standard Champagne flutes.
Ken and Pauline dropped into the Brighton Street Off licence in Barrow, to pick up their prize.
The raffle had raised a total of £424.50 for St Mary's Hospice, Ulverston.
The Millom couple received their prize from David and Michelle Batty who run the store.
