A TOWN’S mayor is raising money for charity by taking on a 10km run.
Sam Ronson, the mayor of Dalton, is running the Hawkshead trail, which includes a vertical section known as the “Coffin Trail”.
He is hoping to raise £200 for his selected charities, MacMillan Cancer Support, Parkinsons Support Furness and the Dementia ward at Furness General Hospital.
To donate to his cause go Cllr Ronson’s JustGiving page to www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/mayorsfellrun.
So far he has raised £40.
