SCAM: Police have issued a warning
POLICE have issued a warning after a man in his 70s was targeted in an internet banking scam.
He was said to have been contacted repeatedly and asked to send money by bank transfer to fraudsters to buy a vehicle from an unknown man, to get a person to the UK - or to help contact a daughter he had never met.
The offenders told him to destroy all receipts.
Police said: "If you feel you have been a victim of a scam similar to mentioned above or have any information regarding the incident, please call 101."
