THERE are a lot of stories in the press of late, that large social media companies do not appear to be respecting the British law and government and they will not cooperate with our police in accessing accounts and or removing illegal material.

The legal precedents have already been set about internet sites that do not comply with British law and their access can be blocked by the main ISP’s, BT, Virgin media, Talk Talk, etc. by a court order. This very quickly happens to content sharing sites and pornographic sites that contain illegal material.

I am quite sure that likes of Twitter, Facebook, etc. will be more cooperative and willing to comply with British law if their sites were suddenly no longer available in Britain.

They are always telling our politicians and government that we do not matter to them and they can do what they like, so let them do that without access to Britain and the revenue from our advertisers.
