TWO prestigious professional golf tournaments are coming to Windermere this year.
The club has been selected by the Professional Golfers Association to host a North Region Players Tournament on April 4 and will see the return of the popular two day Lakes Classic Pro-Am Tournament over the weekend of June 22-23.
Windermere Golf Club manager Martin Fishwick said: "It is an honour to host the events. The course here has been in spectacular condition recently and all the professional golfers I speak to hold our club and course with the highest regard. It is an exceptional reward and compliment to the work that has been put in by our members and staff on and off the course over the last 18 months."
To celebrate, the club will be hosting a three day world beer festival, BBQ and hog roast between June21-23.
Players will be able to play the course on the Friday for half the standard green fee price.
