Year Four pupil, Libby, described the activities she took part in at the forest group.

She wrote: "At Forest School Holiday Club I had lots of fun.

"I roasted marshmallows over the fire.

"We used sticks from the woods as marshmallow sticks.

"I whittled a stick using a potato peeler.

"It was great fun.

"Some of my friends made really cool dens, one even had a clay roof made from clay we dug out of the ground.

"It was great fun and I wish I could do it again."

Year Five pupil, William, also wrote about his experience at the holiday club.

He was particularly interested in learning about carving.

He wrote: "I whittled a piece of wood.

"I also took part in other forest school activities including making dens, creating dams and eating marshmallows toasted over the campfire.

"All the children thoroughly enjoyed their morning in the outdoors and look forward to experiencing it again.
