ALL four parkruns enjoyed the bright but breezy weather conditions this weekend as more than 400 participants took on the 5km course.

The adults reclaimed the volunteer roles from the juniors at Barrow parkrun, following last week’s successful junior takeover.

This week 145 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 11 were first timers and 20 recorded new personal bests.

Parkrun regular Karen Herrington celebrated her 100th run alongside junior runner Joe Turner who finished his 10th parkrun with the group.

Landing the first spot this week was Ryan Everett in 18.35 followed by Paul Singleton in 18.37 and Sean Roberts in 19.47.

Sarah Bouffler was the first woman across the line in 23.36, followed by Emma Broadbent in 23.48 and Cerys Jones in 24.11.

Ford parkrun opened with a warm welcome and quick briefing by this weeks run director, Helen Rann.

102 participants of all ages and abilities took on the 3.1 mile route, with three runners making their parkrun debuts.

Jeanette Rann and Margaret McCulloch ran their milestone 50th runs this week and were rewarded with a parkrun T-shirt each.

Darren Coward was the first across the line in 20.06, followed by Ethan Starmer-Jones in 20.22 and Jim Bailey in 20.39.

Lauren Marsden was the first woman to finish the course in 21.21, with Justine Fraser behind her in 23.40 and Joanna Bailey in 25.03.

A cool dry morning greeted the 122nd Millom parkrunners as an eastern breeze blew over the freshly mown course.

Hearty welcomes were given to first timers Richard Marlton from Horwich, Matthew Hardcastle, Steven Gauge and Issac Hillen from Barrow.

In the ladies’ section, Rachel Read claimed the first spot in 28.44, followed by Sarka-Jo Cole who completed her personal best time in 29.52 and Holly Singleton in 32.08.

Richard Marlton was the first man across the line in 22.40, followed by Jonathan Bailey in 24.20, and Matthew Hardcastle in 24.43.

Fell Foot parkrun saw 272 eager competitors take on the 5km course this week.

Tom Danby landed the first spot in a time of 18.00, closely followed by Richard Scott Wells who received a personal best time of 18.18 and first timer Alexander Sweet in 18.28.

Scout Adkin was the first woman across the line in 19.43, with Emma Etheredge just behind her in 20.33 and Imogen Burrow in 20.39.

All four parkruns thank their dedicated team of volunteers.
