A SURVIVOR of the Holocaust visited students at a secondary school to share her story.
Janine Webber came to Dowdales School in Dalton to speak to Year 9 history students to recount her moving story.
Mrs Webber, was born in Ukraine in 1932, told the year group the story of how her father was shot and her mother died on typhus following the Nazi invasion in 1941.
She was placed in a ghetto and later escaped into hiding with a Polish family when she was nine.
After living out the war in a convent, she lived in Paris before moving to Britain in 1956.
