Walney Cents came from behind to defeat Hindpool Tigers 28-14 before a large crowd at Central Drive.

The game was proceeded by the opening of the new outside Bar area named after former player and committee member Steve Nevinson.

Dec Gavin gave Walney the lead prior to Jake Deveraux touching down, Dave Nicholson adding one goal 10-0.

The Tigers replied with a Shannon Coleman try to make it 10-4.

Walney were down to eleven men with Bibby and Deveraux in the sin bin but they held the Tigers out.

However, when back to 13 they conceded a brace of tries coming via Coleman and Finlay Goodings with a touchline conversion from Ryan Kyte 10-14.

The Cents took control in the final ten minutes with tries from Gavin and Deveraux plus two Nicholson goals 22-14. and to seal victory Nicholson touched down with Deveraux adding the goal.

Ulverston came back with the points from Folly Lane winning 17-10.

Johny Hutton went in for an early try followed by Connor Saunders and Marc Storey.

Saunders added two goals with a drop goal from the boot of Storey.

In the Conference, Millom ran out comfortable winners at Eastmoor 44-10 with tries coming from Tom Askew a hat-trick, Nial Harris 2, Hadley Thompson, Kyle Evans, and Jude Lupton with Jack Newbiggin adding six goals.

Division one leaders Barrow Island crashed to an unexpected 23-16 defeat at lowly Hunslet Warriors.

Island lost Max Moore on ten minutes through injury and tries came from brothers Aide and Dan Wright along with one from Josh McBain. Sam Jones added two conversions.

Askam lost narrowly at home Bury Broncos 32-28 tries came from Brad Jackson 2, Jack Cairns 2, and Danny Rhodes, with four goals from Jackson.

Dalton lost 38-12 at leaders Hindley tries from Joe Crarey and Harri Brown.

Millom “A” lost 48-6 to Kells in the Cumbria shield semi-final.
