CROOKLANDS Casuals under-nines retained the Barrow & District Autumn Cup with an 8-2 victory over Millom Juniors in the re-arranged final at Furness College.
The new date meant that Cassies were without their goalkeeper, Lewis Walker, so striker Lucas Bell had to go in goal.
However, Bell played a blinder, managing some fantastic saves to keep Millom out.
George Cumberbatch opened the scoring for Cassies after a tense opening which had seen Millom on top. Then Jacques McKenzie starred, as he grabbed a hat-trick, and Cumberbatch got himself on the scoresheet again.
Crookland’s other goals came from Leon McDonald, Tyler Ramsay and an own goal, while Callan Woodburn replied for Millom.
