THE Challenge Cup clash between the world's oldest amateur rugby league club and the competition's newest entrants will be streamed worldwide via the BBC Sport website.

Millom's encounter at home to Red Star Belgrade in the first round of this year's competition on Sunday, January 27 has been selected as the match which will be broadcast.

Last year, streamed games featuring the likes of York City Knights versus eventual winners Catalans Dragons and amateur sides Rochdale Mayfield versus Crosfields attracted over 92,000 viewers.

It is the first time Millom will have been showcased in this manner and, given the interest around Serbian side Red Star playing in this year's Cup, it is perhaps little surprise this tie has been selected.

Last year, Millom defeated Scottish outfit Strathmore Silverbacks and Bradford Dudley Hill to reach round three of the competition, where they were beaten by another National Conference League side in Pilkington Recs.

The Woolybacks have also had it confirmed the iconic Challenge Cup trophy will be present at Devonshire Road on the day and will be set up in the clubhouse prior to the match for spectators and club staff to see.

Millom are optimistic of a good crowd for the tie, with between 500 and 1,000 spectators expected to be in attendance for the contest.
