POSTPONED: Most junior football fell to the weather
MUCH of the junior football over the weekend was wiped out by the weather, but there were still one or two games which were able to take place.
One of those was in the South Lakes Girls League under-12s division, where Ulverston Rangers racked up a 12-0 victory at home to Wattsfield United.
Lucy Coward, Holly Heffernan, Olivia Penellum and substitute Imogen Stoker all netted twice, with Libby Rafter, Alice Satterthwaite and Molly Wood adding one apiece.
In the Barrow & District Junior League, the only game to take place was in the under-14s division and saw Furness Rovers defeat Barrow Celtic by the same scoreline.
