Rhys Norrington-Davies hasn’t given up trying to push Barrow AFC as high in the National League as possible, as his side look to bounce back at Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.

The Bluebirds will be looking for a repeat of their last two away performances, which brought them impressive victories at Wrexham and Eastleigh; two teams riding high in the table.

They’ve suffered some frustration at home since then, especially in last Saturday’s 2-1 defeat against Boreham Wood and they’ll be looking for a better outcome against the Daggers, another team who are in the bottom half.

Norrington-Davies said: “Our away performances have been very good recently. You go one game at a time and after Saturday’s results, we’ll want to bounce back, hopefully pick up three points and push on for the rest of the season.

“We want to get into the top ten or even push towards the play-offs as much as we can.”

The reverse fixture against the Daggers - a 1-0 defeat at Holker Street in September - came just before Norrington-Davies signed on loan from Sheffield United and he has again spoken of how much his time with AFC has brought him on.

He said: “My first game for Barrow was against Boreham Wood away, in a 1-1 draw - I’m a bit sick of the sight of Kieran Murtagh - and for me personally, I’m a much better player now and a lot fitter.”
