LIBBY Rafter netted twice for Ulverston Rangers as they overcame Barrow Celtic 3-0 in the under-12s League Championship of the South Lakes Girls League.

Rafter's double was added to by a single strike from Olivia Penellum, which made it two wins from two games for Ulverston in this second phase of the season.

Dalton had Libby Bickle to thank as they edged out Wattsfield 1-0 in their home game.

The club's under-11s team were celebrating after a victory in the under-12s League Cup too, winning 4-1 away to Grange United.

However, Barrow Celtic's under-11s were beaten 2-1 at home to Kendal United in the same competition.

Those results mean Dalton lead the way in the League Cup table after two matches, sitting above Kendal on goal difference.

In the Barrow & District Junior Football League, Hawcoat Park scored a 3-1 victory away to Crooklands Casuals in the under-12s competition.

Dalton enjoyed a 6-0 victory at home to Barrow Celtic in the division as well.

The Knockout Cup semi-finals took centre-stage in the under-13s league and Hawcoat Park became the first team through to the final as they won 3-1 against Holker Old Boys Eagles.

They will face the winner of the re-arranged game between Barrow Island Reds and Barrow Island Hawks in the decider.

There was one fixture in the under-14s competition too and that saw leaders Vickerstown maintain their unbeaten record as they overcame bottom side Crooklands Casuals 12-0.
